A Thoughtful, Root-Cause Approach to Wellness
I help adults navigate stress, midlife transitions, weight changes, autoimmune conditions, and ongoing health challenges through personalized, sustainable wellness coaching — without quick fixes.
At The Wellness Map, wellness isn’t about restriction, trends, or willpower. It’s about understanding the whole person and creating change that works in real life.
My Story
Like many of the clients I work with, my journey to wellness didn’t follow a straight line.
For years, I struggled with digestive issues, chronic stress, sugar cravings and symptoms that never fully made sense. I did what I was told to do — followed recommendations, tried different approaches, and pushed through — yet nothing truly resolved the underlying issues.
Eventually, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s. While the diagnosis offered a name, it didn’t offer the kind of support I needed to feel well again.
At the same time, I was navigating the demands of a long corporate career — managing stress, responsibilities, and expectations while trying to hold everything together. Like many professionals, I learned how to function through exhaustion rather than address it.
That combination — chronic stress, autoimmune challenges, and feeling unseen by conventional approaches — became a turning point.
A Shift Toward Root-Cause Wellness
What ultimately helped wasn’t a single solution, supplement, or plan. It was learning how deeply stress, lifestyle, nutrition, sleep, relationships, and past experiences are interconnected — and how addressing root causes creates space for healing.
This shift changed not only my health, but my perspective.
I began studying integrative nutrition, holistic wellness, and preventive health, eventually becoming a Certified Integrative Nutrition Health Coach and a Certified Recovery Coach. I immersed myself in understanding how stress, habits, and physiology interact — especially during periods of long-term strain.
What I learned confirmed something I had already lived:
Health challenges are rarely about a lack of discipline. They are often about overload, imbalance, and unmet needs.
How I Support Clients:
My work centers on helping clients who feel stuck — often doing “all the right things” without seeing lasting results.
I support adults navigating:
-
Chronic stress and burnout
-
Sugar cravings and emotional eating
-
Autoimmune conditions
-
Long-term or ongoing health concerns
Coaching is personalized and collaborative:
We explore nutrition, lifestyle, stress patterns, and daily habits through a compassionate, practical lens — always grounded in sustainability, not urgency.
This is not about fixing the body. It’s about supporting it.
Why This Approach Matters
Many of the challenges people face today — from weight resistance to autoimmune flares — are connected by underlying stress and long-term patterns. When those root causes are addressed, change becomes more natural and sustainable.
My goal is to help clients reconnect with their bodies, reduce overwhelm, and build a foundation for health that feels realistic and supportive — not rigid or exhausting.
Experience & Credentials
In addition to my coaching certifications, I bring:
-
20 years of corporate experience
-
Guest appearances on podcasts and local television
-
Contributions to wellness companies and corporate seminars
-
A deep understanding of the pressures professionals face
This combination allows me to meet clients where they are — with empathy, credibility, and real-world perspective.
