I was suffering from chronic illness since the age of 12 and today I live free from all unmanageable symptoms and unnecessary medications.
My journey started at a young age. After my mother's sudden passing when I was 10 years old, I started suffering from debilitating stomach pains and digestive issues by age 12. I experienced painful attacks so frequently, it became my new normal way of life and something I thought I had to tolerate.
After college, the attacks increased and I was put through a series of tests and elimination diets by doctors. I was initially diagnosed with Irritable Bowel Syndrome (IBS). With my newfound diagnosis and medications, I was sent on my way.
I soon began my corporate life in NYC and the painful attacks continued. There were more doctors, more medications and still no symptom relief. Over the years I started to suffer from a host of other health issues and each new doctor's visit was accompanied by a new pill. I now had a cocktail of medications that were masking my symptoms, but not addressing the root causes. Eventually, I was diagnosed with Hashimoto’s disease, an autoimmune disorder that attacks the thyroid. At the time, I was suffering from severe brain fogginess, swelling in the face, muscle aches and pains, belly bloating and extreme fatigue. Once again, medication was the doctor's answer, but not the right answer for me.
I started to explore the role of diet and how it was affecting my health. My doctor said food had nothing to do with it. I questioned that. After bouncing around from doctor to doctor desperate for help, I received no concrete results or answers. I was left emotionally distressed and exhausted.
At this point, with no other options, I decided to take my health into my own hands. After simply making significant changes to my diet, I saw my symptoms begin to lift in a matter of weeks! After a few months, I was able to taper off all unnecessary medications as well.
After successfully regaining my own health using food as medicine, complemented by a holistic lifestyle, I knew that I wanted to help others by teaching these same healing practices that I used. I eventually left my 20 year corporate career to dedicate my life and career to do just that!

I received my professional training and certification as an Integrative Nutrition Health Coach from the Institute for Integrative Nutrition (IIN), and as a Recovery Coach from California Consortium of Addiction Programs and Professionals (CCAPP).
My education from IIN has equipped me with extensive knowledge in holistic nutrition, health coaching and preventative healthcare. Drawing on these skills and my knowledge of different dietary theories, I work with clients to help them implement lifestyle changes that produce real and lasting results. My training at CCAPP has equipped me with the skills to help clients learn how to manage the emotional factors of stress and mental health.
In addition, I hold a B.S. from University of Maryland, am a classically trained ballet dancer and trained in Ballet Barre. I have been a guest speaker on numerous podcasts, local television shows, the nutrition panel expert for corporate hedge fund seminars and content contributor for various wellness companies.
